Christening photography Spanish Place Marylebone London W1

One of the lovely aspects of my work, apart from the pleasure of capturing imagery and meeting so many different people, is that I get to experience less obvious places in London that I wouldn’t otherwise likely ever visit. I’ve always loved churches, whether sandwiched between buildings in the heart of London or tucked away in an empty landscape. They always seem to inspire photographs.

St James’s Catholic Church Spanish Place in London was a first for me last weekend for Massimo’s christening photography. Very little light to play with inside but an atmosphere to make up for it, and  a hugely warm and animated family of Italians and Spanish 🙂

After the Christening – the moment of baptism I think being the only 3 seconds in a row that Massimo was was still largely due to the shock of suddenly having his head soaked in water! –  we walked up to a little park area on Marylebone High Street for some family group photographs,  followed elegant but relaxed celebrations in the upstairs room at Aubaine on Moxton Street.

Just a handful for now from this very joyful and atmospheric christening and family celebration photography in Marylebone Central London.
