Last Saturday I spent a lovely relaxed morning with the Blackburn family who live in Chiswick photographing baby Karl who has recently celebrated his first birthday.
At this pre-walking stage, I often find children are happiest staying inside, and especially at this time of year when the ground is still a bit too damp to crawl on.
Ease and comfort is key, both practically and psychologically, and for child and parent alike. In the familiarity of his own environment, surrounded by his toys, his cot for a quick mid morning nap, and snacks and nappies at the ready, Karl was relaxed and happy as we moved in and out of the the house and garden, allowing him to dictate where we went and what we did.
And whilst he snatched a morning snooze, and mum and dad half an hour’s respite, I captured a few shots of them (the first of course since the wedding day!) as well as mum with grandpa.
